embedding
The sample is embedded with a resin selected according to the sample properties, section quality, following processing steps and investigation target. The fluid resin infiltrates the specimen, filling the cavities and polymerises at a specified temperature, chemically or unter UV-light. This stabilizes the structure and makes the specimen cuttable.
