Tissue-Tek® O.C.T.™ Compound by Sakura is a formulation of watersoluble glycols and resins, providing a convenient specimen matrix for cryostat sectioning at temperatures of -10°C and below. No residue is left on slides during the staining procedure, eliminating undesirable background staining.
Long time storage of tissue embedded in O.C.T. Compound at -80°C for more than 10 years!
CAUTION: To prevent the tissue from drying it has to be fully covered.
