Photo-etched in chrome on optical glass. Spectrophotometer entrance and exit slits. Imaging and alignment applications. Allows use of longer slits then air type. Some transmission frequency limitations imposed by substrate.

Note: The efficiency of such fine apertures can be noticeably affected by dust particles. They should be stored in dust free envelopes and, when necessary, cleaned ultrasonically.
