Gold Nanoparticles (Gold Sols) are prepared according to a unique protocol, warranting narrow size distribution and reproducible adsorption characteristics.
The Gold Nanoparticles are available in the same size ranges as the conventional Immunogold Reagents: 6, 10, 15 and 25 nm. The particle population is monodisperse and thus shows minimal size variation and overlap. Typically, the coefficient of variance for the 6 and 25nm particle size sols is less than 12%, whereas the 10 and 15nm size sols show less than 10% variation. Actual lot specifications (size, variation and expiry date) are indicated on the enclosed package insert.
Package size: 100ml of high quality Gold Nanoparticles (OD520nm ≈ 1).
Gold Nanoparticles Ultra-Small
The Ultra-Small version is based on ultra-small atomic gold clusters (number of atoms/cluster <30) having an average diameter of approx. 0.8nm. The Ultra-Small Gold Nanoparticles have been stabilized with Bovine Serum Albumin fragments which may be covalently bound to macromolecules by e.g., glutaraldehyde cross-linking.
Package size: 20ml of Bovine Serum Albumin stabilized Ultra-Small Gold Nanoparticles at a concentration of approximately 5x 1013 particles/ml.
